SHIPPING AMALGAMATION
REPORT CONTRADICTED. LONDON, January 13, Tho P. and O. Company deny the report regarding amalgamation. The “Liverpool Courier” reported that tho Peninsular and Oriental and Royal Mail Shipping Companies had arranged an amalgamation, with a capital of J 230.000.000. The P. and O. Company has a fleet of 6-1 vessels and the Royal Mail Company a fleet of 47.
