ONE HUNDRED JULES UNPAGED. MELBOURNE, December 6. ; “Don” Kirkham cycled a hundred miles unpaced in four hours thirty nsis minutes—a world’s record. The local Dunlop agency yesterday received a cablegram corroborating the above message. This states: “Don Kirkham rode a hundred miles unpaced, fifty miles out and fifty miles home, in 4 hours 36 minutes on Dunlop tyres, checked according to watch times. Twenty-five miles were covered in 52 minutes, 60 miles in 2 hours 9 minutes, 75 miles in 3 hours 214 minutes, and 100 miles in time stated." The previous unpaccd record was held by Leon Meredith, who in June, 1910, at Bath, England, did the 100 miles in 4 hours 52 minutes 61 4-5 seconds.
