QUESTION OF INCREASED TARIFF. Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 5. At a conference yesterday between the Auckland Tanners’ Association and Auckland Boot Manufacturers’ Association, the conference that is to take place in January next with the Minister of Customs to go into the question of increased tariff on boots and shoes was discussed, and the following resolution was unanimously carried: —“That this meeting agrees to support the boot manufacturers at the coming conference with the Minister of Customs in the direction of securing more adequate tariff on boots' and shoes."
