VERDICT AT INQUEST; By Telegraph—Pre»s Association—Copy rich* LONDON, December 3. At, the inquest on Mrs Nowill, whoso body was found on the shore at Newquay, a verdict of found drowned was returned. Hei - husband in his evidence said he was sure his wife was a straight woman. The doctor stated that there were no signs of violence on the body. Deceased had died by drowning. The coroner said that' doubtless Delay’s heartless and cruel conduct had forced Mrs Nowill to" leave the hotel. There was no evidence as to how the woman, died. [Delay, a retired Singapore solicitor, committed suicide at Newquay, following the mysterious disappearance of Mrs Nowill.3 THE LEGACY VOID. (Received December 4, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 4. According to legal opinion, as Mrs Nowill pre-deceased Delay, the legacy left to Mrs Nowill by Delay is' void. The coroner said that he believed that although Delay treated the woman in a heartless fashion, it was improbable that he forced her over the cliff.
