Isitt yesterday gave notice in the House of Reoreeentatives to ask the Minister of Railways whether it is a fact that the Railway Department Is carrying beer at the rate of four hogsheads to the . ton. the'actual weight being 2-Jcwt; and, if this is the case, why is the Government granting this preference to this powerful and wealthy monopoly.
