The Land Laws Amendment Bill was introduced from the House aiid read a first time. , % , ~ The Hon. H. D. Bell said he would ask tho Council to pass the second reading pro forma, and refer tho Bill to tho Lauds Committee. Ho hoped it would be possible for that committee to report to-morrow, and in that case ho would take the second reading then. The motion was agreed to, and the Bill referred to the Lands Committee. The Council adjourned at 2.45.
