GROUNDS FOR CENSURE
ATTACK ON NEW SOUTH WALES
GOVERNMENT.
SYDNEY, October 24. , Tho motion of censure moved in the Legislative. Assembly yesterday by Mr W. H. Wood, on behalf of the leader of the Opposition, attacks the Government on tho grounds of reckless finance, the eviction of lord Denman, the Governor-General, from Government House, the appointment of Mr Neilson as Trade -Commissioner in Western America, and the proposal to increase tho Speaker’s salary and the salaries of tho Parliamentary staff.
BOND ISSUE IN LONDON.
(Received October 24, 9.15 p.m.) LONDON, October 24.
The New South Wales Government is issuing £2,500,000 worth of 4 per cent, bonds, with a currency of five years, at £9l.
PARIS FOUNT DRIED UP
(Received October 25, 1.12 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 24. Negotiations for the £3,000,000 loan in Paris have partially fallen through, owing probably to the sources which it was hoped to tap being suddenly closed by the financial exigencies created by the Balkan war. Tho Treasurer has received a cable message from the Agent-General -announcing the issue of a loan of £1,500,000 on debentures with a currency of ten years, bearing interest at 4 por cent., at £99.
