ROOSEVELT’S BID
FOR THE PRESIDENCY DEPENDS ON PLATFORM ADVOCATED BY PARTY. By Te'egraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received August 0, 1.10 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 3. It is announced that the National Progressive party must accept Colonel Roosevelt’s political doctrines if he is to be its standard-bearer. Colonel Roosevelt will make a confession of his faith to the delegates attending the Convention which opens at Chicago to-day, before the party’s platform committee makes its final report. He will not accept nomination on a platform he does not approve of.
