BABY IN A BASKET
BERLIN, August 4. A young and beautiful woman, who was motoring in the countryside at Bobdenitz in Thuringia, stopped and gave a peasant w'oman an envelope and a basket, saying: ‘‘This basket contains a baby, rear it kindly.” The envelope contained £4OO. The woman drove off before the peasant could answer.
