SUDDEN DEATH AT PETONE.
MR G. T. COKER,
Mr George Thomas Coker, a well-known tradesman, died suddenly at his residence, Nelson street, Fetone, at IO.JO yesterday morning. Hie was a sufferer from chronic bronchitis, but was able to carry on his business—that of a painter and paperhanger —and his sudden death came as a shock to his family. For a number of years Mr Coker lived in the uairarapa, and at ono timo was lessee of the Royal Theatre. Masterton, where he undertook a number ol theatrical ventures. When Miss Ne-iie Stewart first *visitcd New Zealand Mr Coker was a member of the company, and in after years became a °° n r slant contributor to tho press on local matters in the Wairarapa, At the timo of his death deceased was 07 years of age. Ho leaves a widow and six sons. An inquest is not considered necessary.
