SUGAR CONVENTION
OBJECTIONS TO BRITAIN’S WITHDRAWAL. (Received August 4, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 3. The sugar refiners of Greenock, the centre of the industry in Scotland, disapprove of, Britain’s withdrawal from the Sugar Convention. British refiners aro arranging to interview the Gcwernment. and the leaders of the Opposition with a view of emphasising the threatened injury to the industry in Britain.
