MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Dr A. McArthur, S.M., presided iver Saturday’s sitting of the Magistrate’s Court. Annie Costello was charged with the theft of a muff and'muffler, valued at .'Ms, AiS her employer offered to take her hack into her employment accused was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. Henry C. Geigo was convicted and discharged for insobriety, but for a breach of a prohibition order he was fined £l, in default forty-eight hours. Thomas Lewollyn Jones was fined 20s, in default forty-eight hours, for drunkenness, and for similar offences Norman McPheo and Angus Smith were fined 10s, in the alternative fortyeight hours’ detention.
