As a result of the inquest on _ the man Hocy, who was found dead in a icuz at Grafton, his companion, a halfcaste Cingalese named Theogose, has been arrested. The arresting, constable deposed that Theogose told him that fie and Hcey were in the tent, and that two men entered it early in the morning. They shot Hoey. who was in bed, and took money to the amount of £2 Is, and s cheque for £2. They threatened Theogose if he told the police. Cartridge* found on Theogose fitted the rifle with which the shooting was done. The inquest has not concluded.
