PROTEST AGAINST LEGACY DUTY,
LONDON. July 28. The late Sir Edward Albert Sassoon, whoso estate was sworn at £1,000,000, made no bequest for charities, firstly, because h© gave during his lifetime according to his means, and, secondly, as a protest .against tho impolitic and prohibitive legacy duty on charitable bequests.
