Ue left estate, "so far us at presen!, can be ascertained, ’ of tho gross value of Al.'i.OOO. , , Written in his own hand on horn sides of a single sheet of paper, the will reads as follows; — The last will and testament of William Thomas Stead, of Smith square, Westminster, executed by the said W. 'l'. Stead, on the day of his departure tor Constantinople. 1 give and bequeath all niy property (1), in the "Review of Reviews” of London and Australia; and (2), my interest, iu the American ‘‘Review of Reviews”: and (3), iu all properties, literary or otherwise, held in my name, including all books, magazines, or pamphlets the copyright of which is mine; and (4), in all moneys accruing from insurance policies taken out in my name or hold by me; and (5), in my interests in the patents taken out by me for the Hawkins Propeller; and (6), in. th® freehold house and land at Holly Bush, Havling Island; and (7), in all bank balances, investments, moneys duo to me on loans or advances at home or abroad; and (8), in all descriptions of real or personal property, books, manuscripts, and furn.ture ot which I am now or may hereafter become possessed, to my beloved wife, Emma Lucy Stead. I hand over for examination all my private papers, manuscripts, to or from myself, automatic writing diaries, and everything of an autobiographical or private personal interest to lay eldest daughter Emma AV ilson Stead, commonly called Estelle, to be dealt with by her at her solo discretion. 1 appoint, the before-mentioned Emma Lucy Stead, my wife, and Emma Wilson Stead, my daughter, as executors of the provisions of this will, charging them to have regard to tho wishes which I express as to the use of tho property thus loft to them in a codicil which I intend to execute and append to this will. The codicil was apparently never made, or if it were it cannot be found amongst his papers, either in his nsnal depositories or in the hands of his solicitors, according to an affidavit made on the matter and hied with tho will. , Other recent wills include, the following;— Gross.
