MILLS AT PETONE
SOME KEEN EXCHANGES. - Professor Mills went out to Petone last night and held a very keen audience at St. Augustine’s Hal! while he fired in a broadside of information, about the United Labor Party, what it is, what it means, and what it stands for. His points were smartly taken, and intorjeclions were dealt with seriatim. It was a real good rally, demonstrating once again that there are two sides to every question. Some members of tho advanced group were in evidence, and Mills gave them reason to believe that you can’t get anywhere until you have cut tho steps to the place. Several men and women stayed back to enrol tbeir names in tho fighting strength. The seed sown did not full on stony ground. There will presently bo an organisation in Petone sufficient to convince “Ben Adhom’’ and ‘ Ben Adentcm” that things are to move along the lines of construction. Wo were glad to see prominent politicians looking on. They seemed pleased they’d come. Mills will bo out again presently.
