THURSDAY, JULY 11. (Before Hr W. G. Riddell, S.M.) Tor insobriety, JoJm Harris and Edith Homo were lined 2i’h. a prohibition order was issued against Home, and Thomas Wilson was lined 10s. Harris was the man who went over the side of the wharf on Wednesday evening. Four lirst offenders were lightly punished. CIVIL MATTERS. (Before Dr A. McArthur. S.M.) A BUILDER'S CLAIM. A claim for £2(l -Is was made by 11. E. Manning, builder, against A. H. Wallace, of Wallace' ami Gibson, Wellington, for work and labor done to a shop in Willis street. Mr A. Blair appeared for plaintiff and Mr E. M. Sladden for defendant. Defendant had paid JBI7 Is into court and after hearing evidence his Worship gave judgment for plaintiff for 15s 6d over and above the amount paid into court. UNDEFENDED CASES. Judgment by default w-as given for plaintiff in the following undefended cages:—J. J. Curtis and Co., Ltd., v. H. Wallace, All 10s, costs 7s; J. Myers and Co. v. O. H. B. Boyd, a claim for £1 Is lOd, defendant was ordered to pay tho amount by July 25th.
