THE TERRITORIALS

DISTRICT ORDERS. District orders issued by Colonel Chajv tor, commanding the Wellington military district, state that O.C. districts may grant permission for N.C.Os. of the Senior Cadets to remain with their company at age of eighteen, -and to perform their Territorial service with it, in. place of being posted to a unit of the Territorial force. The following conditions will apply:—(J) The N.C.O. must bo recommended by the O.C. company. (2) He must ©sprees his willingness to remain with the Senior Cadets as an N.C.0., instead of being posted toa unit of the Territorial force. (3) N.C.Os. can, only be so posted for their Territorial service as long as they render satisfactory service as Senior Cadet N.C.Os. The direct of equipment and stores reports that consignments of the following nave now arrived, and are available for issue on prepayment at the prices shown: —'Swords, officers' infantry, complete, 42s each; field service pocket books. Is 3d each. The consignment of Sam Browne belts under order is not yet to hand, but from latest advice received from the High Commissioner, their arrival may bo expected about the end of June, when they will be available at the rate of 12s each complete.
