PAHIATUA’S NEEDS
TRAFFIC MANAGER "WAITED ON. PEESS ASSOCIATION. PAHIATUA. May 15. A largo deputation waited upon the district traffic manager and urged # him to remedy and deal with railway grievances. Requests made were for new or enlarged trucking yards for sheep and cattle, double accommodation at the goods sheds, numerous station improvements, and an increased station staff. Tho traffic manager acknowledged that tho facilities at tho station were very inadequate, and promised to submit a detailed report to the including a recommendation for the engineer to report on tho yards. Regarding th6 # inadequate lighting of tho station at night time, ho said a scheme of lighting all stations and platforms was now being introduced.
