A fashionable wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton, this afternoon, the contracting parties being Miss Kathleen Meredith, youngest daughter of Mrs Meredith, fof "Uandaff,” Masterton, and Mr Alan A. Cameron, of Castlepoint ' station. North Wairarapa, son of Sir Duncan Cameron, of "Moroa,” Greytown. The church was prettily decorated by friends of the bride, and was
filled with relations and guests, twenty motor-cars as well as cabs convej’iiiL them to the church. Tlie bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr J. M. Meredith, wore a gown of pale cream satin, with long train trimmed with orange. blossoms and rose point-lace, the gift of her mother. A pearl girdle with tassels was worn round the waist, and her tulle veil was worn over a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried d bouquet of choice flowers, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were Miss Grace Cameron, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Kathleen Beard, and two little girls— Miss Eileen Sladdcn (Wellington), niece of the bride, and Miss Marjorie Goring Johnston (Wellington), niece of the bridegroom. The elder bridesmaids wore dresses of pale blue satin veiled with ninon, the skirts caught at the side with a .largo pink rose. They wore largo black tagel straw hats, trimmed with pink roses, and carried bouquets of pink flowers. Two little girls wore dressed in white embroidered muslin frocks trimmed with pale blue satin ribbon, fancy straw hats with wreaths of blue daisies, and they carried tiny bunches of pink roses. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Bert Bunny as best man, and Dr Macrae, of Tinui, as groomsman. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold watch bracelet, and to the bridesmaids pearl and turquoise slides and pendants. The ceremony was performed by tlie Rev. H. Watson. A reception was afterwards held at "Llandaff," the residence of the bride's mother. The reception rooms were beautifully decorated with flowers, foliage, and ferns, the wedding breakfasttable decorations consisting of palest pink sweet peas, maiden-hair fern, and pale blue ribbon. Over tho wedding cake were suspended two floral horseshoes. Mrs Meredith, mother of tlie bride, was attired in a handsome black satin gown, trimmed with bands of jet insertion, black lac© bonnet trimmed with jet and tulle, and she carried a bouquet of white and mauvo’flowers. Mrs Cameron, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black voile dress over grey silk, grey and silver bonnet, and bouquet of heliotrope flowers. Among those present were the Misses Cameron, Mrs Fred Pearce, Air and Mrs G. Harold Smith (Pahiatua), Mrs McKersoy, Dr and Mrs Dawson (Pahiatua), Mr and Mrs Hubert Sladdcn (Wellington), Mr and Mrs J. B. Moodic, Mr and Mrs J. M, Meredith, Mr and Mrs Cecil Kebbell, Mr and Mrs Goring Johnston (Wellington), Mr and Mrs D. T. Cameron, Miss Hamlin, Mr and Mrs Maunsell, Dr and Mrs Hosking, Mr and Mrs Arthur Bunny, and Mr and Mrs Hirschberg. Mr and Mrs Cameron left during the afternoon by motor-car, amidst a shower of gold and silver horseshoes, en route for the North. The bride's travelling costumo was a coat and skirt of pale turquoise blue cloth, shaped with Oriental trimmings and braiding, and she wore a black tagel straw hat, trimmed with large blue ostrich plumes. SPIRO—ALLEN. , At the residence of the bride this afternoon Mrs Olive Allen, of Upper Plain, was married to Mr Frederick William Spiro, of Masterton.
