READ A THIRD TIME IN THE COMMONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrght. (Received December 10, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 9. The Shops Bill has been read a third time in the House of Commons. The Bill ensures forty-five minutes for a midday meal, thirty minutes for tea, and a half-holiday weekly, but, owing to the exigencies of tbe session, the controversial clauses were dropped. These included 1 compulsory Sunday closing and restricting hours to sixty per week. i
