The “Sydney Morning Herald ” says; “There is very keen interest in Australia, and probably further abroad, in regard to New Zealand’s answer on the question of national prohibition. Never before in the British Empire has a community had an opportunity to vote for prohibition.” The paper expresses the opinion that there is no very great prospect of 60 per cent, of the voters declaring for such a sweeping innovation. )
