The receipts for the Talisman Consolidated Gold Mining Company for the first three quarters of 1911 show 13,480 tons treated, yielding 14.2000 z 4dwt gold, valued at £58,337 17s- 9d, or £4 6s 6d per ton. The total working expenses were £23,922 14s. equal to £1 15s 5.9 d ‘per ton. At Addington thc-ic were moderate entries •of stock and a good . attendance. Store sheep values were firmly maintained. Fat lambs and fat sheep sold at advanced rates, and. fat cattle were easier. There was-practically no change m pigs/ and store cattle met with an improved demand. t , . . • . Store sheep formed a moderate entry of various classes, the bulk being chiefly ewes and lambs. The firmer tone manifested last week was maintained, there being a keen demand for two-tooth ewes and ewes and lambs. . Shorn two-tooth ewes' made 13s 9d to 15s 4d, shorn ewes with lambs 12s lid to 14s 2d (all counted), shorn four and six-tooth wethers 14s 6d to 15s Bd, small four-tooth wethers in the wool 13s 4d, shorn two-tooth wethers llfi 6d to 12s 3d, two and four-tooths 13a Id, mixed two*. • tooths 10s 6d to 13s. inferior 9s 4d to 10s. _ There were 520 fat lambs penned, and they were of good quality. Owing to the ©mall yarding there-was good competition, and prices were firmer than tact week by Is per head. There was no business done for export. The bulk of- the lambs made 16a to 18a, and smaller lie to 14© 9d. There was a small mixed yarding of fat sheep, the quality being mostly medium. The market opened rather firmer than last week, and prices showed an advance of fully la per head. .The range of prices was-.-Prime shorn wethers 17s 6d to 22s 3d, lighter ,15s to 17s, woolly ewes 15s 101 to 18s 9d, prime shorn ewes 16a to 20s 3d, extra to 225,-2d# others 13s lid to 15s 9d, shorn merino wethers 13s 6d. There were 250 head of fat cattle penned, of which a' large portion were from the North" Island. The tone of the market was easier, values ranging from 25s to 53s per 1001 b. Steers made £8 17s 6d to £l2 12s cd. heifers £5 15s to £9 7s 6d. and cows £5 5s to £9. Teal calves brought 4s 6d to 51s.
