SOME PLAIN SPEAKING TO THE SUFFRAGETTES. By Telegraph— Press Association— Copyright LONDON, December X. , Sir Edward Grey, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, has written to Lady Constance Lytton, suggesting that there are better prospects of enfranchising six million women by an amendment to the Government Franchise Bill, which will be moved by a Cabinet Minister, than enfranchising a million under tho Conciliation Bill. But, he adds, while disorders similar to those which took place on November 21st and at the. City Temple continue it would be a waste of tinfe for him to actively support the women’s cause.
