WELLINGTON CLUIS. TWENTT-THTPD ANNUAL MEETING. The iwenlv-third annual meeting oi (no Wellington 'Amateur Athletic Uub was hoM at the Y.M.G.A. last evening. Ml J. 11. Pollock presiding. The report stated that one alternooa -meeting ami one evening meeting were held during the year, but the nun was unfortunate in again having tp postpone this meeting for a week on aeeonnt of inclement weather. The meeting was well supported by competitors and spectators ami was eminently t-ueecssiul U the New Zealand championships at. Christchurch tile club’s repremntativcs (Messrs E. C- Hubbard, H.L.Km'- ' V ‘ Evenseii, P. .1. Fitzgerald, J.i. Wilson, W- (I. Harding, and A. Bissctt) materially helped to win the coveted shield lor Wellington. Pollock it was decided to amend rule 12 .so as to provide that tho subscriptions for all members under the age of eighteen (instead of seventeen) should be 5s mhl they reached that age, when (hoy would be required to pay Ids per annum, payable iu advance. It was decided that an afternoon meeting bo held on December IGth, and that application bo made to the centre forthwith for this date. _
On tho motion of Air P. Fitzgerald, seconded bv Air L. AV. Cozens, Mr J. H. Pollock was elected a life member of tho club and appreciation of bis services was placed on record. Tho- mooting decided to make a donation of X2 each to tho secretary and treasurer in recognition of their services.
