ATTEMPTS TO' WRECK TRAINS

CALCUTTA, October 10
Anarchists, who havo recently attempted to derail no fewer than thirty trains in Eastern Bengal, tor© up eighteen feet of permanent way in order to wreck the Darjiling (in Bengal) mail train, which was crowded with passengers, including high officials returning from their holidays. A goods train which was preceding the mail train was completely wrecked. Tho driver and fireman wore seriously injured.
Darjiling is the capital of tho district of the samo name in the north of Bengal. The town is situated in tho lower Himalayas, and, from its cool climate, is a favourite summer resort. It is connected by railway with Calcutta and contains a great sanatorium for sick and convalescent members of the army.
