The Norwegian steamer Terrier has been chartered to load at New York for Now Zealand ports. It is likely that her cargo will consist of case oil. • The Navua, due at Wellington this evening from Bura via - Auckland, is to berth at No. 16, south, Jervois quay. . A diver examined the Ulimaroa's propeller at Blurt! on Monday. A small piece was found to have been broken off one of the blades. Tho matter is trifling and will be dealt with when the vessel lays up for overhaul shortly. The scow Ngaru was expected to get away from Karamea yesterday for Blenheim, as all conditions were favourable. Tho Canterbury Company’s, steamer Petone, now on route from Nydia Bay to Sydney, is fixed to load coal at Newcastle for Wanganui.

Messrs Hasson's schooner Falcon is to bo brought from Evans Bay to the city today to load general cargo for Havelock. The Komata is to get away from Wellington this morning for Westport, where she will load again for this port. The Kotuku, which is to leave Wellington this' afternoon with general cargo for Greymouth, will load coal at the latter port for Onehunga. i Tho Federal-Tibalder-Shire liner Ayrshire, which is due at Wellington about November 6th from Liverpool, has 3100 tons of general cargo for Wellington. Mr A. Taylor joined the Komata as second officer yesterday in place of Mr j. Rankine, and Mr F. G. Bilton, late chief officer of the Ta-rawcra, is to join the Maheno as chief at Auckland. Mr Corps, a Union Company third officer, arrived at Wellington yesterday from Sydney for orders. The overhaul of the Rosamond is to be completed in time for the vessel to' leave Wellington next Monday' night for Picton, Nelson, New Plymouth, and Onehunga. Tho Poherua is to sail from Wellington this evening for Napier with remainder of her cargo of coal. She will subsequently proceed to Greymouth. The Union. Company’s steamer Maitai, duo to-morrow morning from San Francisco, is likely to go to Lyttelton for docking, although this has not been definitely fixed. Messrs Levin and Company advise that the steamer Himitangi is due back at Lyttelton about to-day from the Chathams and should reach Wellington about Saturday next. . The coastal steamer Opawa is to leave Wellington at midnight to-night /or Blenheim where she will lay up until the settlement of tho officers' dispute. ‘Tho Malsura left Vancouver at 11 a.m. on tho 4th instant for Auckland, via Honolulu and Suva. She is duo at Auckland about the 24th instant. The vessel has 130 first saloon, 145 second saloon, and 150 third class passengers. She has 500 tons of cargo for Auckland. BOOKED FOR SYDNEY. Bad Newcastle coal was responsible for a lengthy passage by the Warrimoo, which did not arrive at Wellington until noon yesterday from Sydney direct.
