GOOD MUSTER OP CADETS. . NO TERRITORIAL PARADE. PEESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND. September 25. Dominion Day was observed to-day as a, close holiday by the post office, banks, insurance and legal offices, and all Government departments. This morning a largo, parade of cadets was held; in tho outer domain, but the territorials’ parade had to bo abandoned owing to tho extremely small number of men that turned out. The boys mustered some 600 strong, and were inspected by Colonel Wolfe. IN" CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, September 25. 1 Tho weather is beautiful for Dominion Day. The Government offices, schools, and many warehouses and offices have closed, but retail business is proceeding as usual. At tho schools the pupils were paraded, saluted the flag, and were addressed by the masters and members of the Education Board. In consequence of the death of Colonel Hawkins the military parade order for to-day was cancelled.
