Tba Czar lias ordered a comprehensive inquiry regarding the operations in Kieff of the political police. M. Stolypin was buried at Kieff, amid signs of universal grief. There was a huge assemblage, including members of the Ministry and high functionaries. The newspaper “Novoo Vremya says that Bogroff, the assassin, is an accomplice of Mouravieff, who committed suicide early in September, after being delegated to murder M. Stolypin.

The chiefs of the Secret Police accepted Bogroff’s proposal to effect a sensational arrest of other conspirators who were at the theatre on the day of the murder. M. Stolypin had not been informed of the police plans.
