STRANDED VESSELS SOLD.
CHESS ASSOCIATION. 'WANGANUI, September 25. The stranded barciuentino Carla-, which was blown ashore a week ago, was sold by auction to-day and bought by Ha-trick and Company for £290. The general opinion is that she will be refloated. Tho schooner Pelotas, which lies on the same beach and was sold for about £SO is also likely to be refloated. After' being embedded in the sand for about three months she was afloat this morning, the purchasers having pumped the water out of tho holds.
