BUSINESS ENTERPRISE.

An extensive reorganisation scheme ia now in progress on the ground floor of the D.I.G. Mr A. A. Corrigan has just returned from Dunedin with plans which have been approved, and the changes will rim rnto some hundreds of pounds. It was found thait more show room was required as well as greater efficiency, irant of space being responsible for inconvenience in many ways in the past. Also it was borne in upon.' the manager that it would be for the smoother working of the establishment if the gentlemen’s department were kept entirely separate from the ladies’ section; so, in order to cope with the demands of a rapidly growing business it has been decided that there shall be a separate entrance for gentlemen’s mercery, travelling requisites and clothing departments, which 'in future will be situated in • the Panama street portion of the building. An avenue will connect the building from Panama street to Brandon street, and will be well lighted. . More window space is required to display the latest ideas in fashions, and increased accommodation will bo provided for the gloves, dress trimmings, lace, silks and hosiery departments. The changes in some oases will be very sweeping, but they are all for the better convenience of customers, who will appreciate them in due time.
