SATURDAY’S GAMES. SEASON CONCLUDED. The final games of the hockey season for this year were played at 'Day’s Bayou Saturday afternoon, under good weather conditions. Tho finals of tho men’s sevou-a-side tournament resulted in some very brilliant contests, but tho play was mostly individual in character. Tho winners of the tournament are tho ' Wesley A team, with the Victoria Collego B team runners-up. Tho bust ladies’ game of tho season was played between Victoria College A and 1 linemen, victory going to the former, team by 3 goals to nil. Results avo appended:— First Round—United 1 v. As a result of their win over Hinemoa* Victoria College A are entitled to hold the honours of the ladies’ senior championship for the 1911 season. Saturday’s display was very poor indeed, contrasted with the excellent performances seen at tho ladies’ tournament. The only score of the first spell was obtained for tho Collegians by Miss Wilson, and it waa not until the closing stages wore reached that tho second and third goals for College w’ore shot by Misses Dement and Wilson respectively. Mr G. Keall was tho referee. SOUTHLAND BEATS OTAGO PRESS ASSOCIATION. XHTMEIDIN, (September 33, The annual hockey match. Otago v. Southland, played here to-day, was won by Southland by six goals to one. It was a poor game, dominated by Southland.
