SUPREME COURT

Sitting in Chambers on Saturday, Mr Justice Edwards heard air application by the Official Assignee (or. a summons adjudicating- Ellen Cockayne, of the Trocadero Hotel, bankrupt. Mr H. E. Evans appeared for the Assignee, and Mr E. C. Levvey for the respondent. Mr Evans said that Mrs Cockayne owed .£548 to the estate of George J.■’innock on a judglnent of the Supreme Court, and it was apparently only by bankruptcy proceedings that tho money could bo recovered.

Mr Levvey objected on the ground that the petition was signed by the Assignee’s agent. Samuel Tansley, instead of by tho Assignee himsejf. The matter was adjourned till to-day.
