HIMITANGI FROM CHATHAMS About 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon th«> Chatham Island Fisheries Company's steam, or Himitangi returned to Wellington from tho Chatham Islands, via Lyttelton. The vessel brought back 1100 cases of fish, of which over 1000 coses wore blue cod and tho remainder hapnka, from the company's fishing settlement at Owenga. The Himitangi left Lyttelton on Satut day, July 22nd, and met with a heavy south-easterly galo all the way to Wai tangi. The passage occupied four days and a half in place of about two days After disembarking passengers and landing mails, the vessel wont to Pitt Island, where she stayed two hours to land cargo and Sassongers. The Himitangi next went to wenga, where she arrived on Friday, July 28th. A considerable amount of refrigerating machinery was landed to increase tho capacity of the freezing works. Discharg ing was carried out during the Saturday. Sunday and Monday, and at 5 p.m. on Monday last the vessel sailed for WaitangH. Sha arrived there that night, and on the next day tho coal was removed' from the hold to the hunker- On Wednesday, after loading 4D cattle and 2 horses, and embarking 14 passengers, the Himitangi sailed for Lyttelton. Fair weather prevailed, ana port was made on Saturday morning. The vessel loaded produce, and sailed again at 7 p m. on Saturday for Wellington.
