A five-mile harriers’ test race was held at Miramar on Saturday to determine who should represent Wellington at the forthcoming cross-country championship to ho held at Auckland. DUNEDIN, August GThe Otago cross-country championship was decided yesterday, the first six places being filled by the following in tho order named ;—Beatson, Chambers, Frew, Fry, Thompson, and Notman. Tho first five wore subsequently selected to represent Otago in tho Now Zealand cross-country championship, with. Notman as emergency, but Frew has notified that ho is unable to mako tho trip.
