By -rotegrapn —.t-ross assouiariou —uhi... . SYDNEY, August 5. The High. Court, reversing a decision of the Supreme Court,- has decided that a wife was not a compellable witness against her husband. The case was one in which the husband was sentenced to death on a charge of wounding his wife with intent to murder. The wife did not desire to give evidence, hut the Supreme Court held that she was hound to. The High Court’s decision quashed tho death sentence.
