PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHTJBCH. August 3. A conference of farmers, neld at HorreUvillo to-day, discussed the grass grub. It was stated that the profits of farmers had been decreased by 50 per cent, as the result of the ravages of the grub. The only suggestion as to how to cope with the grub that was considered as likely to be of any use was that small birds should bo allowed a free hand, for a year or two.
