Tho forest fires in the Porcupine mining district in Alberta are now under control. Relief parties luavo been dispatched to bury the dead. Refugees report that tho trails are strewn with prospectors’ bodies. Tho fires in Northern Ontario aro under control. It is estimated that five hundred persons have perished, and twenty thousand are homeless. Tho flames swept an area of ten thousand square miles. IN' MICHIGAN WOODS LOSS TWO MILLION STERLING. DETROIT, July 14. A forest fire has been raging in Michigan for three days. Seven persons aro known to be doad, -and scores arc missing. The loss ajnounts to two million pounds.
