COURSING

Mr J. J. O’Donoghne, secretary of the Wei Ungton Metropolitan - Coursing Club, write* to say that it is proposed to hold a local meeting on the kind inst.. when a stake, at £1 Is each, will be run, this being confined to dogs that have not won more than £7 10s in one stake. It is also intended to put on an open stake, to be run the same afternoon. With the hares running as well as was the case last Saturday, the sport should be good; but it seems rather a mistake to hold the meeting on the sama day as the Trentham races. The following Saturday would prove a better date.
