Amid tumultuous enthusiasm, King Georgo aud Queen Mary embarked for their return, in order to attend the investiture of the Prince of Wales at Carnarvon to-morrow. KING’S GIFT TO DUBLIN POOR. FAREWELL MESSAGE TO IRISH PEOPLE. (Received July 13, 11 p.m.) LONDON, July 13. King Georgo has given a thousand pounds to the poor of Dublin. In a farewell message the King thanked tho Irish people for the spontaneous and hearty loyalty of Ireland’s welcome, which, he said, had made a permanent impression on himself and tho Queen. As tho boat bearing their Majesties left groat crowds on the wharf sang “ Come back to Erin.” KING RECEIVES LORD MAYOR OF DUBLIN. (Received July 14, 0.5 a.m.) LONDON, July 13. King George received the Lord Nlayor of Dublin. ARRIVAL IN WALES; GREAT CROWDS AT CARNARVON. Their Majesties arrived at Holyhead in the evening. Carnarvon is crowded with people to witness tho investiture of the Prince of Wales. Many were unable to secure lodgings, and spent the night the city halls, singing old Welsh hymns.
