A MISSIONARY'S ALLEGATIONS. SERIOUS VIOLATIONS OP THE CONVENTION. By Telegraph—Press Association-* Oopyriprht MELBOURNE, July 9. A Presbyterian missionary at the New Hebrides complains of tbo open violation of the Anglo-French Convention by the French. Grog is given wholesale, women are illegally taken, and there is no supervision of labour. Labourers are compelled to work on Sundays. Law and order are treated with contempt. British authority is apparently powerless to enforce the observance of the joint convention.
