SYNDICATE’S TERMS ALTERED. The Hutt Valley Tramway Board has found that the-Act prevents it granting more than, a twenty-one years’ concession to private ownership, and the syndicate to which. tho option was recently granted' has therefore agreed to tho reduction of its term from twenty-five to twenty-one years. A further alteration has been made by increasing the minimum length of track to bo laid down within three years from sis to eight miles. The nest, step will bo for the board to obtain an Order-in-Council authorising it to delegate its powers to tho syndicate. This will be applied for within tho newt few weeks.
