WAIRARAPA A. AND P. SOCIETY
The AVairarapa A. and P. Society has decided to hold its ploughing match at Mr- Ingley’s farm' between Martinborough and Greytown on July 27th. Committees have been elected and, judges appointed for tho • match—Messrs P. Court and J. Snell for tho ploughing, and Mr AV. D. Watson for tho horse classes. Various alterations were made to the rules, and a class for single-fur-row ploughing was added. . A list: of Ayrshire cattle breeders was received, and it was decided to circularise them advising that a special sale of purebred stock was to be held at the show. The ground committee are to meet on Friday next, to consider the addition, of accommodation for horses hy making use of some, of the stalls at present used for fat cattle, ■ and to provide covered space for travellers’ exhibits, who have hitherto found accommodation in the Agrucultural Hall. The programme committee is to meet shortly and receive the programme for the coming show, 25th and 26th October Various recommendations have been made by which the attractiveness of the show to tho exhibitors and the 1 public will bo largely increased.
