A subscription list has been opened ill aid of Lambro Parris, a waterside worker, of Wellington, who, threatened with, total blindness, wont to London recently to obtain treatment from an eye specialiist. If sufficient funds can be raised to permit the unfortunate man remaining longer in London thore is a chance of saving him , from tho calamity which, was overtakingj’him. The Harbour Board has , contributed .£lO • 10s to the fund, and the Mayor XI Is. A subscription list is at this office.
