LABOUR PARTY’S SUPPORT GIVEN TENTATIVELY. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyrights LONDON, May 25. In the House of Commons, Mr G. N. Barnes, Labour M.P. for Blackfriars, Glasgow, said the labour party had some misgivings regarding the continued efficiency of trade unions under the National Insurance Bill. They would support tho second reading, but their future action would be largely determined by tho alterations made ill tho Bill in. committee. Tht Labour party, he added, was unable to agree to tho clause depriving trades unions of tho full control of their funds. Tho Labour party would insist on unemployed benefits being distributed through tho trades unions.
