REBELLION IN CHINA
MAINLY CONFINED TO BOYS OF : ANTI-MANOHU CREED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright BRISBANE, May 23. A Chinese merchant who has just returned states that the recent uprising was an attempt by two or three thousand youths and young men to overthrow Manohu rule in the Canton provinces. They were well armed', but lacked organisation. Since the uprising has been quelled there has been a,great surveillance of queueless persons, because 70 per cent, of the revolutionaries were without tho hirsute appendage.
