LACROSSE NOTES
(By "Goal.”) At the Basin Ecserve last Saturday Kelhurno played and easily accounted for Wellington by 19 goals to 3. The game was, as the score indicates, onesided, and consequently uninteresting. It may bo mentioned that Wellington were. shorthanded, but the Kelburne men showed better form. There was very little combined play on either side, most of the jua.j scored being the result of individual efforts, llyder and Davis played beat for the losing team, and those most prominent for the winners were Hutton. Bragg, Stairman and Jones. At Duppa street park Capitol soundly letoaled Columbia by 12 goais to 2. In ihe early stages play promised to be incresting, but Columbia failed to sustain the good work done in the first few minutes, when two goals were scored by them ■ in quick succession. Thereafter, nowever. Capitol took matters in hand and co mii— in winning as stated; Columbia were without the services of Casey, who is on his way Home, but their defeat was due mainly to the weakness of J»e defence. O’Leary had to do most of ihe work in'this department, and he was perhaps the best man 'on his side.
