Lady Hector, Miss Hector, and Mrs Richard Barton left on a visit to Nelson yesterday.
Miss Ashtown (Wanganui) is staying in Wellington.
Mr and Mrs Clement Kirk, of Petone, celebrated their silver wedding on Friday last.
Mr J. T. Atkins, manager for Messrs Walker and Hall, the well-known Sheffield silversmiths, who has been indisposed for some time, has now completely recovered.
The engagement is announced of Miss Belle Griffiths, only daughter of Mr 0.,W. J. Griffiths, of Blenheim, to Mr Hall; of tho Solomon Islands.
Mr and Mrs Georg© Kay have issued invitations for a reception to be hold at the Hotel ■ Windsor on Saturday afternoon, April 15th, the occasion being the marriage of their daughter, Alias Aimee Kay, to Air J. B. McLune. The marriage ceremony, which will take place at the Sacred Heart Basilica, Hill street, will be private.
