COUNCIL'S SCHEME SUPPORTED.

Tho City Council's scheme of wiring houses for the installation of electric light on the time-payment system is growing more popular as the public become acquainted with the system. Already twenty-seven houses have been wired and tenders will be called next week for the wiring of twelve more. The demand for electrical current is increasing by leaps and bounds . In January, 1910, 39 new consumers were connected up. while last January tho total reached 89.
