Of thirty-five persons tried for taking part in the Moabit riots in September, one was sentenced to three and a half years' imprisonment for. striking a policeman, another to eighteen months', and the rest to from one to nine mourns' imprisonment. The court, reported that the police had far exceeded their powers, but had had a difficult duty to perform. Tho court was convinced that they had not acted with sheer brutality.
